Services

Support built around your world, not a clinic timetable.

I bring occupational therapy to the places you, or your child, already feel settled: home, school, the workplace, and community. Every service below starts with who you are, and builds from there.

When the approach doesn't fit, neither does the therapy.

A lot of therapy asks the person to adjust to the room: a new clinic, an unfamiliar desk, a checklist built for a different kind of brain. For a neurodivergent child, young person, or adult, that mismatch can become the hardest part of the session, before any real work begins.

I work the other way around. I look at the gap between you and what's around you, then adjust the environment to fit. That shift changes what each of the services below can do for you.

How I work with you
Ongoing Occupational Therapy · Self & plan-managed

Building real capacity, at your pace.

Ongoing OT is the core of what I do: regular sessions that grow genuine skills and self-trust, shaped around your neurotype and the things you care about. The goal is regulation and self-advocacy, not compliance. For children, young people, and adults.

What this can support
  • Sensory processing and regulation

Mapping your sensory profile, spotting what tips you into overwhelm, and building supports that head it off before it arrives.

  • Executive functioning

Starting tasks, staying with them, and moving between them, using visual supports, habit-stacking, and your deep interests.

  • Daily living

Low-demand, accessible approaches to personal care, dressing, hygiene, household routines, and community participation.

  • Social connection and self-advocacy

Understanding your communication style, setting boundaries, and connecting with others without masking.

  • Fine motor skills

Motor planning, strength, and coordination built through activities that mean something to you, not repetitive clinical drills.

Neuroaffirming & Responsive Feeding Support · Self & plan-managed

Mealtimes without the battle.

Feeding difficulties are a nervous system response, not a behaviour to correct. My feeding support is grounded in Responsive Feeding Therapy and trauma-informed care, and it never uses force, bribes, or "just one bite" rules. Your bodily autonomy stays non-negotiable, at any age.

What this looks like in practice
  • Zero-pressure mealtimes

No coercion, so eating stops being a source of stress for you or your family.

  • Protecting safe foods

Identifying and celebrating the foods you already trust, instead of treating them as a problem.

  • Trusting internal cues

Supporting you to read your own hunger and fullness signals.

  • A calmer sensory environment

Adjusting lighting, seating, and smells to lower the load at the table.

Functional Capacity Assessment

A clear picture of daily life, for your NDIS plan.

A Functional Capacity Assessment is a thorough look at how you manage day-to-day life: your strengths and where you need support. I conduct it in your home or community, where you are most yourself, so the findings reflect real life rather than a one-off clinic appointment.

What you get

A clinical report written to address the NDIS funding criteria, ready to support a plan reassessment. Available for children, young people, and adults.

NDIS Access Report

Clinical evidence for your NDIS access request, prepared with care.

An NDIS Access Report provides clinical evidence to help the NDIA determine whether a person meets the disability or early intervention requirements for access to the NDIS. As the process focuses on functional limitations and support needs, the language can sometimes feel reductive. I gather the relevant evidence carefully and sensitively, while ensuring that you, and/or your child, are represented accurately and with dignity.

Workshops that help kindergartens, schools, and disability services shift from managing behaviour to understanding the nervous system underneath it.

What people usually ask me about NDIS.

Do I need an NDIS plan to work with you?

No. I see both NDIS participants and private clients: children, young people, and adults.

Which NDIS participants can you support?

New Leaf Allied Health Services Pty Ltd is an unregistered NDIS provider offering services to self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants. We are currently unable to provide services to NDIA-managed participants.

Can my NDIS plan pay for occupational therapy?

Occupational therapy may be funded under your NDIS plan (Capacity Building – Improved Daily Living), depending on your plan and goals.

How do I get a referral?

GPs, paediatricians, and support coordinators can refer directly through my referral form. You don't need a referral. You can request a free phone consultation first.

Let's work out what you, or your child, actually need.
